1. What is Chematoodlon?
'Chematoodlon' is an event of the Department of Chemical Engineering in Jadavpur University, open only to its undergraduate students. This event is a merge of two legacy events of the department: Chemathlon and the Farewell. Chemathlon is a sporting extravaganza organised by the UG-II students, and the farewell by the UG-III students. Under special circumstances, this time both the events are getting clubbed together as Chematoodlon, which will commence with many gaming and co-curricular events, and end with a farewell to the Class of '20.
Etymology: Chemathlon + Toodle-o
2. Who is eligible to participate in Chematoodlon events?
Only undergraduates of the Department of Chemical Engineering, i.e., batches of 2020, '21, '22 and '23.
3. What is the event structure?
As of now, the 1st round with gaming and cocurricular events will be held. Then, a leader board will be prepared from which the next rounds will be conducted. The itineraries of the next round(s) is a surprise and will be disclosed only after the end of 1st round.
4. How to register for events?
Registration will be only through the form in the 'Register' and/or 'Come Aboard' portal in the website.

The categories of events are:
Arcade games: PUBG Mobile
Strategy games: Chess
Mini-games: Cards 29, Cards Hearts, Monopoly, UNO, Scribble, Ludo
Extra-curriculars: Creative Writing, Painting/Sketching, Quiz

We assign points as follows:

Also, for more participation in each game, the final score of each participant will be decided as follows:
Final Score (out of 100) = 75 x (Points earned/Total points of all games) + 25 x (Number of games participated/Total number of games)

Based on final score we make a leader board, from which teams will be formed for subsequent rounds.
6. Is there any participation fees?
As we are not collecting any kind of compulsory subscription from the students, there will be a nominal participation fee (NOT exceeding ₹15-₹20) for each event, depending on the number of registrations (less if there are more particpants), AND proportional to the points assigned to each event. The total fee collected will be given as the prize money to the event winners. The final amount for each event will be declared after the registration is complete.
